Beginners' Courses

Beginners' courses consist of four two-hour sessions over a period of four weeks. The cost is £40 per person for the whole course. Prior to the course, you may be invited to a taster session, to decide if you want to commit to the whole course.

This is followed by a further 6 hours training on our field on a Club Target day.

The course will teach you how to shoot safely on the range, and how to shoot with proper form to avoid injury. It is intended for people who are thinking of taking up archery as a long-term competetive sport or hobby (though of course, there is no obligation to join the club if you decide it's not for you!).

We welcome people of all ages, including juniors.  To qualify for junior membership, applicants must be over 8 years old and under 18 years old.

It is important to us that all members, no matter their age, enjoy the sport and feel safe and included.  We have zero tolerance of harassment & bullying of any kind.

Our coaches are DBS checked with Archery GB and we have a Club Safeguarding and Welfare Officer who sits on the Committee (Tim Bonnell).

To register your interest, please email us at cymricarchers@outlook.co.uk and the club secretary will pass your details to the coaching team.
