JOIN THE CLUB
Cymric Archers welcomes everyone, and we believe that archery is for everyone. Cymric Archers is proud to be an all-inclusive club that adheres to AGB’s rules and policies for Equality & Diversity.
Young or old we invite you to explore and learn more about our Archery Club, upcoming events and activities. We are always planning something new and exciting, and hope you’ll join us!
Cymric Archers accepts and encourages membership applications from junior archers. Our minimum age for juniors is 8 up until 18 years of age. All juniors must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of shooting.
We welcome people with disabilities, although our outdoor facilities may be limited for some, so please do contact us to consider if our outdoor setting is right for you and how we can help. Our indoor facilities have full disabled access.
Whether you are a beginner, an experienced archer looking to return after a break, or looking to have a second archery club to practice at, please have a browse through our membership pages or contact us admin@cymricarchers.co.uk for more information.
CLUB FEES
All shooting members must either have passed one of our beginner courses or have been assessed by the club as capable of shooting in accordance with the Archery GB Rules of Shooting. We offer a number of tiers of membership to the club:
Senior Member
Shooting membership of the club for adults aged 18 and over.
-
£75 Joining Fee (One Off)
-
£13 per month on the 1st of each month by Standing Order.
All fees above are inclusive of all yearly ArcheryGB fees, Dyfed Archery Association (DAA) fees and Welsh Archery Association (WAA Fees). Our membership fees include unlimited access to both the outdoor facilities at the club and twice weekly sessions at the Gwenllian Centre during the winter. There are no extra session or target fees for members of the club.
RANGE RETURNERS
Are you looking to get back into archery? A simple refresher session can soon get you back up and shooting. To book your Range Returner session contact admin@cymricarchers.co.uk - we’re ready to welcome you back to the shooting line so you can continue with the sport you love.
In line with good safe practice, Cymric Archers will ask you for:
-
Evidence of recent Archery GB Membership (i.e. within the last 3 years)
-
Evidence of recent shooting experience with and/or outside of Archery GB.
If both of these apply then you will only need to be assessed by one of our Archery GB Level 1 Coaches. This assessment is to determine if you are aware of the AGB Code of Conduct and are safe to shoot in a club setting.
If you have no recent evidence, then at the clubs discretion an assessment can still be done, or alternatively you may need to complete a beginners' course before joining the club.
